Diary of a Yarn Widower - Ch. 9

Well we made it home to Illinois from the store in time for Christmas, but part of that was a 29 hour non-stop driving stint from Idaho, that was a long stretch. It took a lot out of us which is why the blog has not been updated for a few days.

Let's see what has happened, well we got through Christmas and have been trying to reorganize the house to accomodate being the US distribution point for the business. Part of the reworking of the house is to refit the room in the basement so it can be made into yarn storage and a work room.  So I will be doing a little construction for the next few days. We have got some orders into the online store, I will not steal Beth's thunder about these, I figure she wants to blog more about them.

We are looking forward to getting more customers in the new year and hope to kick off a discussion forum.

Diary of a Yarn Widower - Ch. 10

For anyone that has been following along, sorry about the long gap between blog entries.  I was trying to come up with a list of funny reasons (top of the list... a really bad hangover from New Years... next best... I was caught in a yarn avalanche in the storage unit and no one could hear me because of the sound muffling from the skeins...). But really the reasons for my not updating my blog is much more simple, I was busy with work, I know I should not let something like having to pay bills keep me away from my fans (ok, you may substitute your own word for fan, but please try to keep them G-rated).

This is the first chance I have had to put "pen to paper" as they say and it is refreshing.

Beth and Lorysa are starting to get ready for Stitches West in California; which is a huge job.  We have been working to get the last of the kinks out of the website and get more product on show.

Well, for the moment, I think that is all of the news, but I will try to be more on top of things and write another entry in a couple of days.
